Shadow Police Units Help Border Patrol Agents ‘Get Away With Murder’

Border Patrol agents “get away with murder” with the help of shadow police units responsible for covering up crimes, human rights advocates say. A new report by the Southern Border Communities Coalition calls on Congress to investigate the alleged cover-up units in Border Patrol known as “critical incident teams.”

Former senior official at Border Patrol James Wong is speaking out to expose the organization’s efforts to cover up countless homicides and other violent crimes over the course of decades. He outlines eyewitness accounts of the shadow police unit in action, as well as their understood role in the broader organization.
